Vunani Properties (Pty) Ltd. was established in 2003 and its core activities are property development and property investments. Vunani Properties has successfully completed the following developments.

The Decks The Decks - Comprised of the redevelopment of 4 buildings on historic Green Market Square in the heart of Cape Town. The facades of the old buildings were retained behind which we built 2 floors of shops, 9 floors of parking and offices, and 6 floors of luxury apartments. The parking was sold to 13 other CBD building, enabling a regeneration of the CBD to take place. The development value was R110 million and was completed in December 2007.

56 Shortmarket Street 56 Shortmarket Street - The dire shortage of parking in the CBD allowed office buildings of architectural merit such as 56 Short Market Street to deteriorate. The project entailed the refurbishment of the property into A-grade offices. The redevelopment included cutting a central atrium into the building which is glassed on 3 sides and has a bridge across the feature wall. Ample parking was provided on each level from the adjacent Decks development. The building was completed in February 2007 with a capital value of R40 million.

Kulani

Kulanu - Vunani Properties, Barrow Construction and Dotiv Investments jointly undertook the development of 12 sectional title units in Oaklands. Construction was completed in November 2006.

The development is very well located close to the M1 at the Glenhove off-ramp. Quality finishes and well-designed units make this sought-after area a must for investors or owner/occupiers.


The Stables

The Stables - Vunani Properties and Sherratt Ventures acquired a 16 000m² property in Linbro Park. The property is very well located at the Marlboro off-ramp of the N3, and is adjacent to the sought-after Linbro Business Park.

The property was developed into sectional title warehouse and office units ranging in size from 220m² up to 6 000m². Construction was completed in October 2007 and this attractive development has been the catalyst for further development in the area.


Pappilon

Papillon - Vunani Properties and Papillon, have joined forces to develop a new food factory in Aeroport for Papillon. This state-of-the-art HASIP compliant facility was completed in November 2007 and Papillon have commenced trading from this 5 000m² factory.

The building and operations have subsequently been sold to Heinz Foods.


Waterstone Park

Waterstone Park - Vunani is part of a consortium that has secured a 20 ha site at Greenstone Hill, a fast growing residential and commercial node in Modderfontein. The property is located opposite the extremely successful Longmeadow Business Park and adjacent to the newly completed Greenstone Mall and Stoneridge Mall, which is under construction, totalling over 150 000m².

The venture is a partnership with Earthspring Properties with the majority of the 153 freehold stands having been transferred.

Kulani

The Reeds - Within Waterstone Park, Vunani Properties and Earthspring, have developed 96 sectional title apartments known as The Reeds. Construction was  completed in December 2007 with all the units having been sold


Sawgrass

Sawgrass - The same team as Waterstone and The Reeds have developed a further 51 apartments in the south west portion of Waterstone Estate. Being situated within the estate, residents have the benefit of the open spaces provided in this secure village. Construction was completed in December.
